Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. SUNROSE®(CMC)

“Sunrose®” is the product name of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose).

CMC is an anionic water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose. It has excellent thickening, water absorption, and water retention properties. In addition, since it is derived from natural cellulose, it has moderate biodegradability and can be incinerated after use, making it an extremely environmentally friendly material.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. KC FLOCK®(Powdered Cellulose)

KC FLOCK® is the brand name of NPI's powdered cellulose. It is manufactured from natural wood cellulose and finely meshed. It is widely used in applications such as food, health food, cosmetics, filter aids, and resins, and is harmless for humans because it is dietary fiber. It is also environmentally friendly as it has mild biodegradability.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. STEVIAFIN®, SK SWEET®

Stevia sweetener is a natural sweetener made by extracting and refining the sweet component contained in the leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni, a plant of the Asteraceae family native to South America. It is 200 times sweeter than sugar. It has been used as a sweetener for over 300 years in its native land.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. adds glucose to the Steviafin® series, which is extracted and refined from stevia raw leaves, and highly refined stevia sweeteners through the action of enzymes. We have developed, manufactured, and commercialized the SK Sweet® series, which has a taste that is extremely similar to sucrose, eliminating bitterness and astringency as much as possible. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from salty foods such as pickles to beverages and desserts.

Steviol Glycosides (purity of 95% or more), have been widely used and whose safety has been recognized by JECFA (FAO/WHO  Expert Committee on Food Additives ), It has been widely used as a natural sweetener in beverages and desktop sweeteners. In addition, our SK SWEET Z3 (enzyme-treated stevia with a purity of 95% or more) has acquired US GRAS approval (No. GRN000375) and is used in beverages.

 Sansho Co., Ltd. Pectin

Pectin is a polysaccharide extracted mainly from citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. Pectin is a galacturonic acid with a carboxyl group and galacturonic acid methyl ester in which the carboxyl group is methyl-esterified are combined in a straight chain, and its properties vary depending on the degree of esterification (DE value).

Generally, Pectin is classified into HM pectin, which has a degree of esterification of 50% or more, and LM pectin, which has a degree of esterification of less than 50%. Depending on the de-esterification method there are two types of LM pectin, the acid-treated type, and the alkali-treated type. In the alkali-treated type, methyl ester groups are partially converted into amide groups, and the amount of amide groups also affects its gelling properties.

 Daicel Corporation GRANFILLER-D®

GRANFILLER-D® is a product jointly developed by the Daicel Group and Nichirin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. A co-processed excipient containing D-mannitol, carmellose, crystalline cellulose, and crospovidone is listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia. It achieves both high tablet hardness and rapid disintegration. Listed in Pharmaceutical Additives Regulations 2018 (ingredient code number: 890031). US DMF Registered.

 Daicel Miraizu Ltd. CMC DAICEL

CMC Daicel, which is made from natural cellulose, is a water-soluble polymer (WSP) developed using Daicel's original technology.

The CMC Daicel product number mainly refers to the viscosity of a 1% aqueous solution and it is distinguished by the degree of etherification, which indicates the strength of the CMC structure. We have a wide range of lineups from extremely high viscosity grades to low viscosity grades, so you can choose the part number that suits your needs. We also offer grades that meet public specifications and standards for food additives, quasi-drug ingredients, and feed additives.

 Daicel Miraizu Ltd. HEC DAICEL

HEC Daicel, which is made from cellulose, which is a natural material, is a water-soluble polymer (WSP) developed by Daicel's unique technology.

It dissolves in water to form a viscous, colorless, and transparent aqueous solution, and exhibits functions such as thickening, suspending, and protective colloid. The aqueous solution has excellent pH resistance, salt resistance, and chemical resistance. The main type is the ones with improved solubility by treating the surface of the powder to avoid forming undissolved lumps. There is a general industrial grade applicable to quasi-drugs.

There are two types of HEC Daicel, the normal dissolution type EP / EE type, and the dispersion-improved type SP / SE type.

MITSUBISHI GAS CHEMICAL COMPANY, INC. AGELESS®

"When iron rusts, it absorbs oxygen. Zero oxygen prevents oxidation".

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical developed the world's first oxygen absorber, AGELESS®, in order to make the combination of such simple concepts a reality. Oxygen absorber AGELESS® absorbs oxygen in a closed container to create a deoxygenated state (oxygen concentration of 0.1% or less), removing the effects of oxygen on foods. It has made it possible to maintain "deliciousness" and "freshness" for a long period of time in the food field.

In addition, taking advantage of its properties, it is widely used to prevent the deterioration of pharmaceuticals, medical products, cosmetics, etc., and to prevent dust mites and mold in clothing and bedding.
